Welcome to my digital house built with bricks moulded from the ideas that live paying their rent in full in my brain. Fluid Lines is a creative space built to showcase some of the work I do and the talented artists, writers, performers, and creatives I work with.
As time goes on, I hope to share this space with more creatives, featuring submissions from all the amazing creatives from Peterborough and beyond.
NEWS!
Thank you for all your support so far during the first phase of launch. Because of this and the generosity of some amazing humans, Fluid Lines is getting its very own house on a shiny new domain. I am building the space behind the scenes and doing some redecorating.
Please keep sending in your submissions. The first few selected will go live with the new site along with the first monthly showcase deadline announcement. Keep tuned to socials for more news.

It’s time for my words
like free-flowing ink
that splash from the page
and fly out into the world
rising and churning like a hurricane
dressed by the women that came before
cloaked in kinks and flaws
with my fluid lines and thoughts
Here I Am (excerpt) – KB
About me
During my term as Peterborough Poet Laureate, my focus has been on two main things.
Collaboration – between different artists and art forms, artists and business, cultures, and backgrounds; making connections, raising awareness of the vibrant arts scene and different communities in the city.
Access – to help provide access to my work and the arts for people who wouldn’t necessarily have access another way like those who are socio-economically disadvantaged, just like me growing up.
I have been working with so many different people, got involved in and lead exciting collaborative projects, offered talks, workshops, and performances for free to communities, charities and some educational providers. My work has been featured on BBC Upload and BBC Look East. I make regular Poem Drops on social media where people can read and listen and some of my work can be found on the websites of organisations I have worked with.
Creative Space
After I started working on Fluid Lines, I was asked if I could expand the space I made for artists that I worked with on a project – Creatives – to include more of the talented creatives in Peterborough. There were so many voices crying out for creatives spaces to work in or display their creations in this city and further afield.
This was never meant to compensate for the absence of physical spaces – we still need them, now more than ever – but it is a little something I could do. And so I did.
Please enjoy the work of emerging and existing artists as they are added to this space and use their contacts to enquire about work or to follow them on socials.
Submissions
If you want to see your work featured on Fluid Lines or your profile in Creatives, check this out. There’s no money in it, just the joy of being published here with me.
If you want to work with me on a project or contact me about the things I do head to katbeeton.com or email katb@katbeeton.com.
Sharing
You are welcome to share my work from social media or this website online with full credit (non-commercial) but please ask permission for anything else and if it isn’t my work, please get permission from the copyright holder.
